About the client:
Urban Church is a church based in Mosman Park, WA. Urban is committed to serving their community. This occurs through ongoing pastoral care, as well as varied teaching and training initiatives such as relationship workshops and adult education in the area of spiritual development. Their community is diverse, consisting of a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
About the project:
Urban Church has been around since 2013. They met in a school hall for 3 years before proceeding with obtaining a venue of their own. When the client started the process of moving into the new venue, the Church was moving into a new phase of its journey, so to reflect their journey the Urban brand went under a complete refresh.
Part of the brand refresh the entire identity & digital sphere of the brand was broken down and the refresh commenced from scratch. During the discovery phase, it was highlighted that the new brand had to feel 'Authentic', 'Fluid', 'Vibrant' and 'soft'. As part of this, the discovery phase concluded that the brand was going to reflect these exact words.
